What is Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique)?

Emotional Freedom Technique ( EFT ) is a remarkable and widely accepted acupressure technique for eliminating emotional and physical problems and restoring the mind/body energy balance.

Tapping is based on the energy meridians used in acupuncture to restore the normal flow of Chi, or healing energy, to improve health. The underlying theory is that negative emotion causes a disruption in the body's energetic system. Tapping on acupressure points whilst focusing on a specific problem releases the energy block, dissolves 'stuck' emotional issues and allows the body to heal any connected physical problems.

The placebo effect is not part of the success of Tapping. You don't have to believe it will work in order to have astonishing results. We teach many of our clients to use Tapping (EFT)  themselves as part of their therapeutic programme. Once learned Tapping can be used to address all physical and emotional issues. A degree of success is often achieved quickly by individuals working on themselves. It can be applied to just about every problem you can name and it often works where nothing else will. As Gary Craig, the founder of EFT, says "try it and see what happens."

We both have EFT Advanced Qualifications and integrate tapping into our therapy. Many issues which have had little success with more traditional approaches can be reduced or eliminated very quickly.  Long standing issues and physical problems can take longer to treat as each facet of the problem needs to be uncovered and dealt with.
